It’s definitely time for Solar companies to market in South Florida.
Local Homeowners in South Florida will soon have the opportunity to invest in their own solar future. This way they can conserve the environment while saving money through the new PACE Property Assessed Clean Energy program.
Broward County is hopeful that this program will be effective by this summer. This way Broward County Homeowners will be able to take advantage of zero up front cost financing as well. This way they too can benefit from a Solar System, energy efficient appliances, or hurricane proof windows and roofs.
The County is finalizing its arrangement with the financing companies to handle the program.
Lots of Financing & Tax Saving Options
Homeowners will be able to select which contractor they use, and will have two options for financing. The county will pay the contractor for the cost of installation post inspection. Then, the homeowner will have different payment options that can last as long as 20 years.
“In many cases, the project can be structured so that utility-bill savings are greater than the annual payment” due through PACE, per Joe Spector from Ygrene Florida “So, basically you can replace your air conditioner for free.”
Homeowners will realize great cost savings from lower insurance premiums and utility bills. This will even allow some to save money over the length of their term.
