Cell Phone Lists

Over 96% of Americans now own a mobile device. As of 2024, about 331 million people in the United States own a cell phone, which is about 98% of the population. This includes  over 310 million smartphone users

And – just think of this statistic – 90% of Americans are only reachable on their cell phones. That’s pretty astounding.  Consumers continue to cut the cord and untether from landlines. This trend is expected to continue into 2025.

Americans continue to increase their use of wireless devices to talk, text, review and post to social media. Pretty much, we are attached to our cell phones and keep them with us at all times.

In the past, getting accurate lists of cell phone numbers has not been easy. For companies who reach their customers and prospects by phone, this has presented a real dilemma

Now, you have three great options:

  • Buy a list that comes with cell phone numbers
  • Append Cell phone numbers to your own customer list.
  • Reverse appending names & addresses to cell phone numbers

Buying a Cell Phone List

What we’ve done is taken the entire consumer database and matched it to the cell phone database. This allows us to select individuals by their demographics.  You can select from a whole host of options.  This includes

BTW – Some of our databases are just not available with cell phone numbers –such as new homeowners and new movers – because the data is too new. Cell phone number data is also not available for ailment suffers and other privacy-concerned elements. Last, cell phone lists are not available on our on-line count and order system.

Appending Cell Phone Numbers to your List

This is a process you may want to do each year to your customer database. This will add new cell phone numbers and update old ones.

The way it works is that we match your list against the master cell phone database. We match by first name, last name and address. This is the most accurate way to insure you are getting the cell phone number of the person you want.

Our wireless phone database is one of the largest available. It is continuously maintained and updated through multiple response channels. This helps boost your chances of reaching the people you want to reach!

Reverse cell phone appending

In this process, we take the list of cell phone numbers you have and append the names and addresses of that wireless phone owner.

This takes your list of unidentifiable numbers and makes them useable!

Before you start dialing

Most of the same best practices of telemarketing apply to calling cell phones. Make sure you have created the perfect script and practiced it. Also, before embarking on any telemarketing campaign, make sure you know all the rules. The FTC website has lots of great information. I am also answering a few often-asked questions below.

How you can use a Cell phone list?

Telemarketing, surveys, interviews, polls, political calls, consumer information calls.

Is it illegal to cold call cell phones?

Federal law prohibits any calls to cellphones using automatic dialers or prerecorded messages, regardless of whether the cellphone is listed on the national Do-Not-Call Registry.  The second allows businesses to call cellphone numbers if the recipient has given written permission, either on paper or by email.

Can telemarketers call cell phones?

Telemarketing calls to peoples’ home are prohibited before 8 am or after 9 pm. Telemarketers are required to comply immediately with any do-not-call request a consumer makes during a call.

Is there a cell phone do not call list?

The federal government does not maintain and is not establishing a separate Do-Not-Call list for wireless phone numbers.

Wireless phone subscribers have always been able to add their personal wireless phone numbers to the national Do-Not-Call list. They can do this either add your personal wireless phone number to the national Do-Not-Call listonline, or by calling toll-free – 1-888-382-1222 – from the phone number they wish to register. The rules require callers that are not exempt from the rules to stop telemarketing calls 30 days after someone registers their number.

How accurate are cell phone lists?

You should expect anywhere between 15-20% disconnected or wrong numbers. While we are constantly updating and verifying information, there will always be some numbers that have changed between updates.  The average American changes their smartphones every two years. Often people change their phone number when they get a better deal from a different provider. Another new phenomenon is that people who were working remotely are changing their cell numbers so they  are no longer “on-call” 24/7.
