60% of New Homeowners will Purchase a Water Filtration System and Dataman Group’s New Homeowners Lists for Water Dealers Lets You Reach Them When They Need to Buy!
The Water Industry has traditionally used the New Homeowner lists for Water Dealers for years. The new 2015 WQA Study of Consumers’ Opinions and Perceptions Regarding Water Quality validates this once again. According to the Study, a majority (60%) of those that purchase a water softener tend to purchase one within one year after buying or leasing a home.
Any Water Dealer who does not market to New Homeowners is missing their best “low-hanging-fruit”marketing opportunity. Since New Homeowner lists are typically small, dealers need to reach out every single New Homeowner name they can get – and even consider mailing to them multiple times to enhance name recognition and branding.
While many dealers feel that it’s necessary to be the very first one in the home, according to the WQA Survey, the key here is the phrase “within the first year”. Sure, some people take care of this right away – but, according to the survey, 60% of them will buy a water softener within the first year. This is a group not to be missed.
And why is that? The water never tastes the same in the new house as it did in the old one. People who move from a city often find well water difficult to enjoy. County-to-city transplants compare municipal water with drinking out of a bleach bottle. The point is that regardless of actual contaminants present, people feel a strong allegiance to the water they grew up with – at least until they taste the quality drinking water that your Water Quality Dealers can provide.
