Many Insurance agents experience a tick up in Life Insurance Sales during Life Insurance Awareness month in September by aligning themselves with this high-profile initiative.

According to the 2015 Insurance Barometer Study by LIMRA and the LIFE Happens Foundation:

  • 85 percent of Americans say most people need life insurance.
  • Only 62 percent have coverage.
  • Those with no life insurance think it’s three times more expensive than it actually is.

Insurance Agents need to plan now and get their marketing materials ready to mail at the end of August so they can take advantage of the national Life Insurance Awareness Month marketing blitz. Think New Homeowners – they are a great market!

This industry-wide campaign is aimed at educating Americans about the importance of life insurance. It also offers insurance agents the perfect opportunity to talk to people in their community about their life insurance needs

Consumers Prefer to Shop & Buy Life Insurance Face-to-Face

Face-to-face is still the most preferred method for buying life insurance. While 86% of consumers use the Internet to research life insurance before purchasing, only 16% percent of consumers would prefer to buy insurance completely online.
